ABOUT US

As the City of Wanneroo is rapidly expanding, with most of the City's population growth being experienced in the northern coastal corridor over the next 20 years, Alkimos Ball Club Inc was founded in 2017 to develop tee ball and baseball (both juniors and seniors) so that there is a place closer to home for players to participate and a local club for children to transition to. Currently the closest, accredited clubs are in and around Kingsway, which is quite a distance for residents to travel to from the northern end of the City of Wanneroo.

The founding members of our club have over 40 years of experience and knowledge in both sports, with some previously representing the Perth Heat Baseball, as well as state and national teams in tee ball, baseball and softball. It is our collective goal to ensure that we establish a solid, reputable club that the local community can be proud of and to provide a much needed outlet for people to participate in the sports we are very passionate about through a professional, friendly, social and encouraging environment.

Our most recent accomplishment for the Titans is winning the D Grade Premiership in the Baseball WA State Competition for 2020/21 season. This is unheard of so soon to establishing a club. Our club is also affiliated with Baseball WA's sub committee, Sun City Thunder Baseball. Sun City is comprised of players from local clubs why try out to compete in State and National Tournaments. Thunder had their inaugural season in 2021. The Little League team competed in the WA State Tournament over Easter and finished with Bronze. The team also had the opportunity to compete in the National Tournament hosted in Lismore, NSW which was an amazing experience for all involved.

At Titans community, parent, guardian and family involvement is paramount and will be driving the success of every season #titanfam. As our club continues to grow at a rapid pace, we require more volunteers. Stepping forward and giving back is unique and fulfilling opportunity to model behaviour that assists children develop life-long engagement and enjoyment with sport and physical activity. This plays a significant role initiating and sustaining a child's sports participation and positive mindset towards maintaining physical fitness through life. Being that Tee-ball is a foundation sport and Junior Baseball is focused on participation, this is an excellent opportunity to have fun, learn new skills and grow with your child. By setting the example, we are #titanstrong. Find out more on the health benefits of children in sport HERE.

Our club host several programs and clinics facilitated by Titan members and from specialists provided by the relevant sporting associations. It is Titans goal to assist, include and involve everyone especially schools in our community- to teach students correct techniques whilst learning a new sport they will grow to love and be passionate about, just like our members are. Quite often children can lose interest in a sport if they are not shown the correct way to do things or continuing to thrive and will often move to a club south of ours as there is no further development available locally. #supportlocal. Our club is fortunate to have a member of our club Loren Lloyd that is a  Sporting Schools Facilitator for Baseball WA who runs clinics throughout schools within the metro area. If your school would like to be involved please find more information HERE.

In the future, Alkimos Ball Club Inc anticipate to host National and International competitions and tournaments at our home ground, such as Perth Heat Baseball, so that the local community can also enjoy the benefits of our sports and facilities. At present we are located at Kingsbridge Park, Butler but will be moving to our new purpose built home ground at Halesworth Park, Butler. We would like to thank The City of Wanneroo for their continued support and look forward to long lived partnership.
